Where do we begin?

Everybody has to start somewhere right? 
First I thought about why I want to lose weight:

  • My Health
  • Myself
  • My Family
But most importantly make sure you are doing it for yourself. IF you are doing it for someone else you won't stick with it and you will give up!


Then set goals:

  • Goal Weight Short Term and/or Long Term(a realistic weight you would feel comfortable at not necessarily within your BMI) 
  • Date you would like to reach your goal (i.e- Birthday, Wedding, Next Year, etc...)
  • How often you will be able to workout (Gym, At Home, Outside)
  • Amount of Calories you will eat a day (I use myfitnesspal.com to help me control my portions/calories)
And most importantly take BEFORE pictures and Starting weight and Measurements! As much as you will dislike this part, pictures don't lie and they come in handy when you start seeing the scale go down but you don't notice it looking in the mirror. So here are my Starting Pictures, Weight and Measurements!



My Starting Weight: 161.8
My Current Weight: 158.2
My Goal Weight:135
Date to reach my Goal: July 17 (My 24th Birthday)
Time working out: 5 Days a Week
Calories eating per day: 1,320
Measurements as of 1/23/2012:

  • Bust:38
  • Stomach:38
  • Hips:41
  • Left Leg:23
  • Right Leg:24
  • Left Arm:12.5
  • Right Arm:13
